The Laptop Has Landed.

After many years of toiling away on a crap computer I finally got round to buying an upgrade at the weekend. My old, loyal pc, which runs off Windows 95 no less is almost dead. It takes fro ever and a day to boot up, the keyboard is knackered and won't download half the stuff out in the internetosphere anymore.

So enough is enough. I needed a new one. I almost bought a desktop last year but the shop I went to had 'stock control' problems, which basically meant that the special offer that they advertised didn't real exist. So on Friday I took the bull by the horns and aided by my mate Jim Fujitsu I did some reseach and finally plumped for a HP Pavilion Media Center dv9233eu Entertainment Notebook PC. It don't know what all that means but what I don know is that it is very beautiful to look at, has a 17 inch widescreen and all the bells and whistles including a built in web cam. I can't blog from it yet as i am awaiting the installation of broadband on 13th April. However once that is done I'll be well and truely back in the world of blog.

Take advice from one who has been there, done that, and still has the scars: make sure that whoever instals broadband for you fucking knows what they are doing!!!

It took about two weeks to get my system back up and running, thank goodness I could use the trusty work machines meanwhile.

Hello MB. If you are going with your existing cable provider I can recommend them as knowing their stuff.

HP Pavilion Media Center dv9233eu Entertainment Notebook PC sounds very impressive by the way, particularly the entertainment notebook. What is that by the way !!??

Having just seen the price of said laptop, Lady Bracknell wonders whether Young Master Marmite has recently come into an unanticipated inheritance?

Tis all that cash he saved by not having to pay Westminster prices for his lunch!
